To celebrate 2023 we wanted to share with you some of the highlights of this year.

2023 is drawing to a close and we are excited for the future. To celebrate the year and thank you for all the support you have offered us, we wanted to share with you some of the highlights of this year.

New Finishing Machines Added to Our Range

We are happy to announce that in 2023 we have added to our range of surface finishing machines, 2 new series: the ultrasonic cleaning technology and the wet blasting cabinets.

Ultrasonic Systems

At the start of this year we have successfully launched a new range of Ultrasonic Cleaning Machines, which includes: a Standard Series, a Laboratory Series, the Ultrasonic Machines built for the Automotive Industry and the Customised Ultrasonic Systems. These systems are designed to clean, descale and strip a large range of pars, for industries such as automotive, aerospace, energy, electronics, food, graphics, jewellery, marine, mould cleaning, medical, optical and more.

AWB Wet Blasting Cabinets

In 2023 we also launched the AWB Wet Blasting Cabinets.  These shot blasting machines are ergonomically designed for easy operation in sitting or standing position, for cleaning, descaling, deburring, roughening, oil or grease removal, die cleaning. The result is a very smooth finished part. Some of the key benefits include:

  • Rapid and efficient blasting.
  • Blasting process free of interruption
  • Comfortable arm holes.
  • Large viewing window.
  • British built high-quality wet blasting cabinet.

2023 A Year for Innovative Solutions for Medical Market

Working closely with our partners Seco Tools and GPAINNOVA, we have developed an innovative and effective surface finishing solution for femoral implants. The traditional finishing of a femoral implant is a 7-stage process including deburring, descaling, surface smoothing and final polishing. Using the CHEF Machine and DLyte, ActOn reduces it to just 3 stages:

  • Stage 1 – grinding
  • Stage 2 – smoothing
  • Stage 3 – polishing

“We’re reducing the percentage of operations and manual finishing done on the components,” says Sid Gulati. “The reduction in manual polishing means there is less use of belts and less tooling consumption.”

The Launch of Our USA Website

After establishing ourselves within the European and Indian market as a surface finishing leader, we are happy to announce that ActOn is expanding into the US market. Hence we have launched a new website especially designed for our USA clients and have started partnerships with local sales offices.

A Video Worth Checking

Even though we have published a range of informative videos about our finishing machines and process, we think the “CHEF Machines vs Conventional Finishing Technology Learn How to Achieve a Finish 10 Times Faster” is the one to check.

ActOn’s CHEF (Centrifugal High Energy Finishing) machines are possibly the most efficient of the finishing systems available in the industry. In many cases, the results achieved via CHE Finishing cannot be achieved in a standard finishing process. Particularly applications that include achieving a high surface finish requirement, a mirror finish and the removal of heavy manufacturing defects. These machines can be 10 times faster than vibratory finishing, producing superior finishes. In this video our colleague Ben explains in more detail how this system works and why you need to consider it instead of conventional finishing technology.

At the end of 2023 we would like to thank all our customers and stakeholders for they continued support they have offered, and we hope to continue working together in 2024.
